We are looking for a Contract Heavy Duty Mechanic with Service Truck to assist our mechanical shop department for our Northern Vancouver Island operations near Woss, BC. Experience working with coastal
logging equipment – grapple yarders, hydraulic log loaders, excavators, and highway logging trucks is essential.

HDL is an award-winning logging company on Vancouver Island, BC, employing approximately 40 people and contractors to conduct falling, yarding, loading, hauling, road maintenance, and road construction operations.

• Heavy Duty Mechanic Red Seal Certification (NOC: 7312) preferred
• Experience repairing and maintaining logging equipment required
• Valid BC Driver’s License and Clean BC Driver’s Abstract
• Ability to work safely, using directed PPE
• Completes tasks in a timely fashion
• Can work independently and be part of a team
• Occupational First Aid is an Asset

Full-Time/ Permanent

Location: Vernon Lake – Vancouver Island, BC

Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off

Rate: $120.00/hr
